"Le duo s'est créé par l'envie d'explorer les matières sonores découlant des échanges de timbres entre la trompette et la batterie, et goût de la liberté que permet une telle formule. Hormis les compositions, la musique du duo comprend en grande partie une relecture de pièces de Coleman, Monk ou Lacy, qui sont autant de prétextes au jeu collectif qu'une manière de rendre hommage au jazz en continuant de le faire exister. "

"The two-piece band emerged thanks to a will to explore the sonic materials born out of the exchanges of tones between the trumpet and the drums, and also because of the freedom and space that allows such a formula. The music itself offers a second reading of tracks from Ornette Coleman, Thélonious Monk or Steve Lacy, forming some kind of beacons among a sea of improvisation. Those interpretations are both a pretext for some collective play, and a way to pay tribute to the musicians who left their mark on them. "
